Car Matters..
Had macro at 3pm. Under normal circumstances, I would have left at 2.20pm. But since I was driving the toy car and there was a test, I decided to leave earlier. Now what's wrong with the toy car? It's pretty alright except that when one drives above 100km/h, the steering wheel will start vibrating and the car produces some funny noises. So being kiasu, I left at 2.10pm. Everything was going well until just after the Buona Vista exit. I was at the extreme right lane when I saw the EMAS signboard "Accident on lane 3 after buona vista exit". Started crawling after that. There was no way I could change lane. Btw, I had to switch lanes a grand total of 3 times to get to the Clementi exit. I was really panicking. I didn't want to end up in Jurong. There were so many freaking big trucks and lorries on the extreme left lanes. Finally after what seems like an eternity, I went pass the accident area. The accident involved at least 2 superbly long container lorries and 1 truck sandwiched in between. Was quite a frightening scene. Anyway, it happened slightly 100metres before the Clementi exit. So, I somehow managed to make my way through. Arrived in school at 2.50pm. Phew.
There's this P plate driver in school who drives an old model of the BMW 3 series. White one. SCP8803. Can't remember the alphabet behind. Always parks at the bottom car park at Temasek Hall. Her parking is absolutely horrendous. I've no other better word to describe it. The 1st time I parked next to her car, I thought there was something wrong with my parking. So i reversed and reparked. But I was still close to her car. Finally, I opened the passenger door and I realised that idiot had parked onto the line. Pissed off, I parked in another lot. Now, this is not a one-off incident. Every day, I realise that no one parks next to her car. Ok, only 1 side. She normally parks so close or onto the line on 1 side that it's impossible for anyone to park on that side unless you want to get a scratched door. I wonder how she obtained her driving licence. Having a P plate is no excuse for parking onto the line. I don't care if she needs 10 attempts to get in a lot properly. She should jolly well come 20 minutes earlier before her lesson to park properly and not cause any inconvenience for others. Today, there was this Toyota Camry driver who was much worse. One-fifth of the car was over the other lot. What's wrong with these people. Assholes. Being late is no excuse for being inconsiderate. Btw, I just assumed that the P plate driver is a female. I really don't know what to say if he turns out to be a guy.
It's hard to find people with integrity these days. This E class merc was at the gantry. I was behind him. His passengers, ah bengs and ah lians, judging by their hairstyles, signalled to me to move back. Thinking that there was something wrong with the gantry, i gladly obeyed. Now, after he reversed, he zoomed out from the entrance as the barrier was up. What the heck. You have money to buy a $190,000 car but you have no money to pay for $3 parking? He'a a real insult to all Merc drivers. No money don't drive such a luxurious car. Or if you don't have the skill to evade the parking fees, then for god sake, just pay up. Anyway, its not the money matter. It's a matter of honesty and integrity. Sadly you find more and more of these kind of people in Singapore. All thanks to our wonderful education system which is obsessed with producing students with straight As.
