Final Decision..
Whether to go, whether not to go. That was the question I was pondering over the whole week in the midst of studying for 2 tests. Just when I decided to go, Barbara gave me a lecture on planning for my future and the wastage of money. Dad asked me to decide myself. What could I say? So I told Mr Lim that I'm not joining him. I wasn't in the best of moods after that. I hate being lectured. I realise that studying really helps in drowning sorrows. Alright, I know that's a bit exaggerating. But that was also how I got over Federer's loss against Safin so quickly.
Next morning, Mr Lim booked his air tickets. Dad was shocked that I was not going. He told me to ignore Barbara and go ahead as it was a good experience. After much contemplation, I stuck to my decision not to go. I already declared to most people that Finland would be my last trip before I graduate. And part of what Barbara said was true. Anyway, I can't imagine holidaying and sharing a room with people that I'm not close to. So, while Mr Lim is searching for information on his accomodation and holiday, I'm flipping through the Recruit section every day. That's the difference between a soon-to-be employed and an unemployed person. It's also the difference between a straight As student and a nowhere near straight As student throughout PSLE and A levels. That's the reality of life in this dog-eat-dog world.
